Dear Twisters,

The Euro Jam is in its 11th year! Who would have thought it! Last year was just amazing to see so many new faces twisted in smiles experiencing our Euro Jam. Today, if you wish to earn money from Twisting balloons, then you must be able to do more than just twist a few figures. The economic crisis has not left us untouched. All of us need to take a careful look at how we market ourselves, how we present ourselves to our customers, and how can we improve ourselves. The Euro Jam has given seminars on these subjects in previous years, but this year we will up that even more.  Also important is the ability to network with fellow twisters. Just by getting to know one another through pleasant ‘chit chat’ can ideas be exchanged, new ideas sounded out, and more importantly the ability to learn from one another. We never reach a situation where we cannot improve ourselves and develop our skills even more. The Euro Jams mission is to try and bring us all together, and try and improve our image as skilful entertainers that have real value to our potential customers.

For those of you that have never attended the Euro Jam, here are some ‘bubble’ points.

The Euro Jam was the first get together of  European Twisters and is in its 11th year.

The Euro Jam is a 3 day twisting extravaganza

Timetable of Events
          
Monday – 26.10.2009 – 1800hrs. Early Bird Jam, for all those arriving Monday

Tuesday – 27.10.2009 – 1000hrs. Official opening of the Euro Jam. Workshops start. At 2300hrs the Midnight Twisting Fayre is open. Twisters will be allowed to sell old costumes, equipment etc. New goods are explicitely not allowed to be sold!

Wednesday – 28.10.2009 – 1000hrs. Workshops start. Gala shows starts 2000hrs. Our Gala show performers are all Euro Jam attendees! If you wish to strut your stuff then at the Jam contact Tom Bola. Do not forget your performing equipment.

Thursday – 29.10.2009 – 1100hrs. Workshops start. Final night Buffet starts at 1900hrs in the Jam Hall. Last years Jubilee Buffet was a great success and as such we wish to repeat it this year. The Buffet costs an extra €20 and should be paid the same time as the Jam Fee.

So, it only remains to say that the Balloon-Bar is open Monday 26 October at 1800hrs. Why wait, book now!

Now, some final important notes that all of you should read!

1. Booked to attend happens when the Jam Fee is paid into our account and the registration form is filled out and returned to us.
2. We do not send out any confirmation of booking. Your bank transfer statement is proof of booking.
3. You will receive a copy of the invoice when you book in at the Euro Jam.
4. We the organisers can take bookings for beds in the Youth Hostel. Tel. 05425/955993
5. Bookings for the Landesturnschule or other Hotels must be booked by yourselves.  A list of Hotels can be found on the website. If you wish to stay in the Landesturnschule please book early as placings go quickly.
6. The Jam Fee is €170 (VAT inclusive) for all 3 days.
7. One days Jam Fee is €85. (VAT inclusive)
8. Those wishing to attend the final days Buffet please pay an extra €20. The buffet bookings must be made in advance to allow us to plan the catering.
9. If you wish to give a workshop then please get in contact with us.
10. Do not forget to bring along, balloon pump, camera, notebook and pen and scissors.
11. If you have questions regarding the Euro Jam please do not hesitate to get in contact with us.

That is the end of the important points!

Birgit and Mark Osborne from DM Balloon Company will have a balloon store in the Jam hall. The store is open throughout the 3 days and closes each evening.
